# Hexter 2 geometry

I made an ambitious list of learning targets for SBG for our second hexter. Here it is:

# day 32: Plan B

So today I planned a awesome geogebra activity discovering angle measures with parallel lines & transversals, then I found out that the set of laptops with geogebra installed was taken by another teacher.

It worked out well because students were still confused about slopes of parallel & perpendicular lines, so we played with that more instead.

I had a sub Friday. It is the last time I’ll ever get a sub who represents himself as doing math. I’d prefer a sub who has no recollection of math concepts so that they can build understand of an activity WITH students instead of yelling at them for not properly writing the slope formula, or just blurting out ” perpendicular lines have a negative reciprocal slope” right before they start an exploration discovery activity. ARGH

# Day 31: Friday: sub & slope quiz

I mad a quiz that worked really well at exposing slope misconceptions of my students, but now I’m not sure what to do about it!

# Day 28: Fawn’s steepness lesson

I am not as good at the explanation presentation as Fawn, but I tried! We will finish this tomorrow (I think)

# Day 27: ..and We’re Back!

Today we completed a pretest, since it’s the first day of a new hexter. Also, I gave everyone really cool bathroom passes that I got
