I was surprised how many students struggled with making a 3x3x6 rectangular prism.
We did a station activity including indirect measurement, scale factor, similarity, graphing dilatation, word problems. This was not as productive as it could have been, I need to review each station for next year. There was WAY more problems then time and students were getting frustrated and feeling unsuccessful.
Easy, breezy, beautiful!
We made up a strange story about Zip Flip being a famous rapper and various fans claiming to be family. It was a good intro to dilatation and scale factor, while reviewing graphing coordinates, which my students need to practice anyway.
